The Slideback is an automatic sliding door closer. It works using pneumatic technology to give it soft and effortless glide. It can be used for a variety of sliding doors that includes interior doors as well as sliding patio doors. The Slideback has a soft close feature so it won’t slam shut. It can also be disabled easily without any tools. Installation is quick and easy and requires no maintenance. It has been tested to work for more than 100,000 uses and has a one year warranty.
The Slideback ships for FREE in the US with UPS Ground Shipping. Orders typically ship within 24-48 hours.
Ok, not really, but it definitely helped save my voice. (PLEASE SHUT THE GLASS DOOR!!!) This thing has already paid for itself. I probably spent $400 this summer cooling the universe. This little thing is mounted very similarly to a auto close elbow type pneumatic device at a shop door, but it is flush and doesn’t angle out. When you slide the door open (it has a little bit of resistance) it slowly slides back tight. Everyone comments on how novel it is. Looks good, too. We love this thing!!!!

We are having a pool put in our backyard and per city codes we needed to get certain door and window locks for safety inspection. We have a large double slider and needed to make it automatically close somehow. After finding out that it can get really expensive having companies come out and do these things, I started looking around to see what we can do ourselves first. This was such an awesome big money saving find! It is so easy to pop on and off that you can take down whenever. This saved us several hundred dollars by installing one ourselves vs hiring companies to come do it.

Took me months to work up the courage to buy basically a steel rod for $140. Finally I decided I was tired of telling my girls to keep the door shut.
After installation I can’t tell you how nice this is! It has two shutting phases, first phase is to go 90% of the way as fast as possible (that is supposedly configurable however I didn’t really notice a difference) and then it hesitates and then closes the final 10% nice and soft. What a feature to ensure it doesn’t slam and keeps it shut.

At first I thought there had been a mistake and they sent me an empty box. When you first see this thing you will wonder how they’re getting $150 for it. It’s so simple. Took me about 15 minutes to install. Really simple and amazing in operation. The multi stage close is genius. It looks great.

The installation was super easy on my 6′ arcadia door. Using the included self-tapping screws and a cordless impact driver, it took less than 10 minutes.
I had replaced the bottom rollers on my door a few years ago, and have kept the track clean since so my door moves very easily. The end closing speed has a lot of adjustment, and for my needs, I had to back it off quite a bit to get it to close fast enough. This unit seems a bit pricey, but it is pretty well built and works very well, so assuming it lasts, it will be worth it.

The one phrase I clearly remember from my childhood was “CLOSE DA DOOR!” I remember the lectures of “I’m not paying to heat/cool the outdoors”, “Were you born in a barn” and, “In or Out”. I found myself doing this same thing with my kids. I thought to myself, surely by now there must be a technology to end this cycle. When I found this tool of god, a bright light shined upon my laptop screen, cherubs descended and I heard a voice say “Behold”. If you are thinking about buying this, ask yourself, how much the relationship of your kids is worth to you?
